I'm not the norm

I know I got lots of snickers from people who know me for the Post name, but it is true!

I've been craving this week - BREAD!
Most women would say chocolate, not I.
I've been eating some whole wheat bagel and whole wheat pita, in moderation.
What I miss more than anything is white bread.
Confession time: I would sometimes go to the store and buy a fresh loaf of bread; Italian or something with Asiago cheese on it ... then make that my whole meal!
Shock and horror it's true!
Those days are over, and I'm morning them something awful today!

I will end on a positive note though!
I have greatly enjoyed cooking up interesting combinations of food.
Overnight oats ( not actually cooking )
My week long Breakfast Casserole/quiche
Zucchini crust for a veggie pizza
Veggie Burger with a bit of Turkey

I know I'm doing my body better by choosing these dishes and more rather than the loaf of white bread....

but oh do I miss you my dear sweet awfulness

  1. Comfort foods always are hard to change from. I think sometimes it is more the habit of being use to a certain type of food then the food itself. Hopefully you can get excited by some new food or better yet a variety of foods so you can discover new delights and provide your body the different things it needs. Hopefully it will move from just giving your body the different foods to enjoying the different foods.

  2. We all have foods we miss, or used to eat more of.
    I could list some of my old favorites here, but I think it would be more tempting than helpful.
    Some I can hardly look at because I want them so bad!
    But it isn't worth going down that road for me, and undoing all the hard work to get here!
    A lot of times, remembering a really hard workout will keep me motivated to stay on track...I don't want to undo that work!
