Visible Results

Being a part of BMSW is a little bit different for me, since I don't actually work at BMI. A few people at work know that I am in some sort of "contest" but the majority of my co-workers have no idea.

I have had numerous people stop me in the hallway this week to ask what I have been doing or to make a comment about how much thinner I look. We look at ourselves in the mirror daily and it can be hard to see all of the changes in ourself.

I just got out my folder with all of our pictures from day 1. It's crazy to see all of the differences in everyone's face. I encourage all of you to get out that picture, and take a moment to look at just how far you all have come in only 6 weeks.

I can't wait to see the before and after photos in 6 more weeks!

  2. Great idea Matt! I would also suggest to put a pic from today side by side with your before picture, then you can REALLY see the change!
And you can post that here on the blog and on facebook!
    You all look so different!
And then there is the mindset difference, the outlook on life!
I realize it is different for you and Tina, not being a BMI employee....feel free to reach out to each other and to Bruce, who was in your boat last year!
And feel free to share the link to the blog with your coworkers and friends so they can follow your journey, and you can share your blog entries to facebook too.

  3. I'm currently in stealth mode at my workplace. Only one person knows I'm in the contest, and we have different lunch times so we don't get to talk much. No one has said anything to me yet except my friend, but I work at an elem. school so I come and go out of classrooms quite a bit. I'm not trying to keep it secret, but with the first few weeks of school everybody is still in "crazy" mode. I am super excited that I pulled out some clothes that I haven't been able to wear in a while. My close friends and family see the change. :) Great Job Matt and my BMSW family! You are making differences in you and your family!
