This morning’s workout was awesome, and by awesome, I mean I
am pretty sure I am going to be really sore….
It still is a good feeling though. I feel like I say the same thing
every time, but I love seeing how far everyone has come and what we are doing
now as opposed to what we did the first day.
That all being said, there have been some parts of the
program were I have felt super discouraged, the last couple of weeks were
really weird for me and I lost focus quite a bit. As we come to the end, I
realize how far I still have to go to really reach what was my weight loss
goal. It is so hard not to beat myself up for all the little tiny things I can look
back on and realized I might have improved on. Like we heard from the beginning…
we aren’t cheating anyone but ourselves.
I know one of my goals and reasons for doing this in the
first place was to instill healthy lifestyle choices that will have a lasting effect.
I feel that I have gained so much knowledge and practical applications of these
things. The real test will be in a few weeks when we are not held as accountable
for our choices. As much as I could let, all of what I see as, my shortcomings
get me down, I know that is not the case. I have changed and I can see the
difference. We are not really coming to the end here in a few weeks, just the
beginning of another chapter. I have to
remember that. We have been poured into by some amazing people who have given
us all we need to continue to change our lives for the better. It is up to us
to just do it.
Amen to that!....and I love the "poured into" phrase!
ReplyDeleteI love this program so much and all they have done for me! I truly feel the same way!
....you mentioned the test will come in a few weeks when there is less accountability....true..however..
Why not figure out and decide now what you can do to make sure you have the level of accountability to help you when the program itself is over??
I used Facebook as a tool...(I was not an actual contestant, so I needed to make my own accountability).. so I posted that every Saturday morning by a certain time, I would post where I was, how much I lost, what I had accomplished, what my goals were, etc...It helped me a ton! Think about what kind of tool for accountability would help you...
Also, knowing I continue at Spiece and continue to see FWSW trainers, alumni, helps me a lot!
