I'm not even disappointed.

I went into the gym on Monday to get my challenge of 100 flights completed or at least try to get them completed. It seems the latter won out and I was able to complete 50 flights. I hadn't even stepped onto the machine until Friday's challenge because I knew it was difficult for even the more advanced out of our group and thought there is no way I would even last 2 minutes on the thing. Yesterday I lasted 25. I had to stop every 2 minutes to regain my breath and take a break but I continued nonetheless. At about 40 flights I started feeling dizzy and could no longer feel my feet, my chest was burning really bad from breathing so hard and the nausea was starting to happen. I didn't think I could even get to 50 but with Paula cheering me on and my pure will and determination and more than likely a whole lot of grace I was able to push it and finish at 50 flights. I haven't completed the challenge yet but I plan to go back and try again sometime this week, I'm not even a little disappointed that I wasn't able to do it the second time I stepped onto the machine... I feel like I accomplished so much with that 50 flights and I intend to push myself a little further each time until I finally get it done. I can't imagine being able to do 50 flights or even stepping on a machine like that before I started this program and so I'm wearing my 50 flight badge with pride and will exchange it in for every single flight more that I can do until I reach my 100. I do have to say thank you to Paula who was extremely encouraging, it's really awesome having the support that we do!
