This week has definitely been a roller coaster of emotions. I was so disappointed by the numbers on Monday. I was for sure thinking it had been at least a 2-3 pound loss. I texted Ron right away and he said "Chin up, you got this. I love you." That kept me from tearing up during nutrition class. I reviewed my food and exercise log from the week before and couldn't figure out how that didn't affect the scale more. I'm letting it go and moving on with some advice from Bev on how to slightly tweak my food plan.
On Wednesday I really started noticing how much stronger I feel and how different my clothes are fitting. My wardrobe is expanding. I swear I have a few pieces of clothing in at least 4 different sizes. I have started donating the summer clothes that are too big. Especially, the ones that were my go to clothes for when nothing else fits. I called them my "tent" clothes. I am so glad to see them go. I have another stack of clothes that are just a "few" pounds away before fitting.
E.J.'s sleds and Rick's Jacob's Ladder made for tough workouts. The sleds were fun, Jacob was not. That was the most winded I have ever been in my entire life, all 46 years. I am hoping that gets better.
Because of my low number on Monday, I took E.J.'s challenge and then added 1 more set of 5 for a total of 15 flights. Tonight was beautiful so I walked a few laps around the high school and saw the sunset. Before I would of plopped on the couch and just watched mindless TV.
One of my big victories of the week was to actually get a food plan for suppers for my week ahead and get to the grocery store and stock up. Previously I had been going every couple of days, because I didn't have a plan. The first couple of weeks of Smallest Winner I did pretty good with food plans then my schedule and life just got in the way and I couldn't get ahead. Hoping all the hard work this week will reflect on the scale this time...
There are a lot of great positives in this blog!
ReplyDeleteMore planning and working ahead, to make the week successful.
Positive texting with hubby.
Adding extra onto challenge from EJ.
Enjoying walking with sunset, instead of inactivity.
And don't looking back and not finding anything you would have done differently!
Please try to keep in mind, Rick keeps saying looking at your weight over 2 weeks is a better indicator....
You have a lot in this post to celebrate!!
