Special Blessing
What a special blessing it was to have my 11 year old grandson join me for our 40 minute walk this past Wednesday morning at Brotherhood Mutual. He is still on summer vacation, and yet, he wanted to go and be my walking partner. I thought for sure when 6:00 am came that he would say he is too tired and would want to keep sleeping. However, that was not the case. He woke up ready to go. He was an awesome walking partner. He spoke encouraging words to me along the way. And at the end of our 40 minute walk, he gave me a high-five. I am really thankful that our Wednesday group is open to family and friends to join us. What a special blessing.

That is part of the reason we have it open up because support and encouragement is so important to the success of the program. The benefits are going both way. He is supporting and encouraging you and you are encouraging and influencing him. I was so happy to see him out there with you. I also helps to grow the bond between the two of you. Keep finding ways for him to be involved. Do you have him talk with you about the food choices for meals. That might be a benefit for both of you, he can learn and as you explain things to him you will grow even deeper into the ways of nutrition.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! Makes such a difference, every ounce of support and encouragement we can get on this journey! Especially from our families!
