Our very own cheerleader!

I was going to blog about how hard it is to not have cake on your birthday and then I thought "no... everybody knows that already", so then I was going to blog about how much I miss everyone with being in the pool and I thought "no... everybody knows that too" so then I heard a little voice in my head that said "Keep it positive!" That voice has been with me since the Tuesday after our first weigh in when Rose joined me on my warm up walk and said the most encouraging things to me and inspired me by telling me her journey and showing be a before picture (WOW). Then later when she checked on me to make sure I was okay and challenged me to smile during my workouts. Tuesday morning when I was done with my pool workout she yelled out to me "Niki, Congratulations! I couldn't wait to see what you had lost this week!" What a blessing she is, this morning I told her I could hear her in my head, anytime I think negatively or get disappointed or discouraged I hear Rose telling me "You can do this! Look how far you've already come!" and I know that I'm not the only one she's been this encouraging for because I always see her ALWAYS smiling and ALWAYS encouraging each and every one of us. What an inspiration! I for one think we are blessed with MANY MANY people during this experience and all of them are amazing but I wanted to shine a little light on our very own cheerleader. Thank you Rose for everything you do!!

  1. Now I am bawling my eyes out in my cubicle!! LOL!
Thank you Niki for such sweetness!

As an alumni, I have been there, it is a tough journey! I am privileged and honored to work out with you and watch your journey! And SO MANY people in Smallest Winner have inspired and encouraged me…..that IT WOULD JUST BE WRONG for me, NOT to do the best I can to encourage you and all the BMSW2 going thru the journey.
I am forever grateful to FWSW for the work and success they helped Frank and I achieve.
BMSW and FWSW is an amazing team! I am so thankful to the staff especially!

  2. You are so right about Rose. I have always had many cheerleaders during my journey but Rose has always been at the top. Even now she continues to be a great cheerleader for me. You have seen how great a difference a cheerleader can make. Here is my challenge for you. Find two people to become a cheerleader for. Choose one person in the program that could use that extra encouragement and then look for someone outside of the program who is trying on their own and see how you can cheer them on as well. Part of the philosophy of Smallest Winner is paying it forward. You have received great things from Rose now pay it forward to others.

    1. Challenge accepted! I look forward to being a cheerleader for a long time to come during my journey getting to my goal and then after I have reached my goal.
