One step at a time...

Once upon a time I blogged about how much I disliked the stair stepper machine. While that dislike is still mostly there, I feel that I can claim a small victory over it!

This morning I decided to push myself, (something Paula regularly tells me to do…and I normally give her a face of slight disgust...), today, I decided to just suck it up and do it. My goal was to do at least 20 mins on the stair machine, (the first time I tried that machine, I could barely do 3 minutes… but I have slowly been doing more and more). It was going pretty well, and when I was getting close to the 20 min mark and ready to be dome, I realized I was decently close to 100 flights of stairs. So I decided, what the heck let just bust out the rest of it…. And I did!! I managed to 25 minutes and just over 100 flights of stairs. Rick had told me once, that I would eventually love that machine, and while I don’t love it, I can now tolerate it. I was also super excited to send a picture of the 100 flight mark to Rick and Tina this morning.  Even though it was hard work, I did it, I can do more than I used to, and isn’t that the point of the whole things? Constant improvement, and making ourselves stronger, healthier and able to live life more fully as a result, this is the goal, and every day we move closer.
