I grew up eating two vegetables. Corn and green beans. Corn barely even counts. I'm trying new things and attempting to turn my brain off when it screams "Don't eat that Broccoli! You hate Broccoli!" I'm currently having a hard time eating enough calories because it's difficult for me to find "clean" things to eat without simply eating eggs, chicken, and turkey for every meal. I know things will get easier, but my diet has definitely been the biggest struggle so far.
I've really enjoyed the workouts these past two weeks. It feels great to be sore and know that I'm getting stronger.

I understand about the vegetables. I got addicted to salt because I didn't like vegetables as a kid and would cover the taste with salt. Edna got me off the salt after we got married and last year she was so excited that the program was encouraging me to try vegetables so she had a good reason to bring different fresh vegetables in the house for us to eat. It will get easier on the meals. You can always ask the nutritionists for suggestions on how to increase the calories. You are doing so well at the workouts as well. You are an encouragement watching the effort and energy you are putting in all you do. Keep going at it. I am enjoying getting to know you.
ReplyDeleteFrank only ate corn and green beans before the program too! You may be surprised and shocked to know that he now constantly claims BROCCOLI is the ultimate food and now he LOVES IT! Personally, my favorite is cauliflower, but there are a lot others that I love too. Now we enjoy feasting on veggies.
