The past few weeks waiting for the program to begin have been crazy and exciting and nerve-wracking all in one but it's finally here. We completed orientation yesterday in which we got to meet some of the people that are going to be taking this life changing walk with us and giving us the tools to make it just that... life changing.
This morning we completed our first workout, it was tough for me. I've been sedentary and lazy for so long my body wasn't prepared or okay with exercise but I wasn't going to give up. Every time EJ would explain a new exercise we were going to do all I kept thinking was "I thought they weren't going to have us do stuff we wouldn't be able to do??" and then I would do it, it may not have been perfect, my kicks aren't as high as I'd like and sometimes my right arm wants to move with my right foot but I did it.... I DID IT!
All of the encouragement from all of the amazing people that are taking this journey with us is unbelievable. So many people we've never met getting up SO early in the morning :) to come and help us because they care. It's such a testimony just to walk into the gym and see all of the people who are there for us, we are truly blessed with this program!
You did indeed make it through the work out this morning. The complete goal is to work with each one where they are and help them grow. Things will get easier as your body starts getting adjusted but at the same time they will be bringing up the intensity and difficulty as your body grows. You will not believe what you will be able to do by the end of the 12 weeks. Keep giving it your all and enjoy the process.
