My Weight Loss Journey Has Begun

Yay!! I am so thankful for this incredible opportunity to participate in BMSW2. Ever since I was notified that I would be a participant, I have been so EXCITED to begin this journey. I am not a morning person. It is way easier for me to stay up late than to get up early. However, I have been so EXCITED about starting this journey that it was not hard to wake up this morning. I woke up at 4:15 am to take my thyroid medicine, then went back to sleep. I got up at 5:15 am, ate breakfast and was at Spiece at 5:50 am. We began by walking the perimeter of a double basketball court. Then we did some stretches, followed by calisthenics. EJ, Rick, and Tina monitored us to make sure we were doing the exercises correctly. I so appreciated that. There were a couple times where I fell behind the rest of the group. I was told it is okay, it is not a race, you are doing great. It was so awesome to have the alumni come along side of us, doing the exercises and speaking words of encouragement to us. I cannot believe the sacrifice of the trainers and the alumni. They are willing to give of their time and talent to get up so early to be there to help us. They really CARE!! God is using each one of them to be a blessing to each one of us. For that, I am so thankful and grateful. By the end of the workout, I was so hot and breathing hard. But I did it! I completed the first workout. We ended the workout in prayer ... how awesome!! Thank You God for this wonderful blessing!!

  1. Yes Toni remember it is not a race. They want you to do it right not fast. You were doing great this morning and looked well this afternoon at the office. You are right about the love of the staff for us. It truly is a family and every time we do end with a circle time of prayer.
