A Day of Rest

Sunday was the annual outdoor service we have at our church. I was there shortly after 5am to help set up the sound system and all of the gear. Any other time, I would have dragged myself out of bed, stopped somewhere to pick up breakfast on the go, and struggled through the first hour of the morning. Not yesterday. These morning workouts have gotten me in a great habit of waking up early, eating a good breakfast, and even packing snacks for later knowing that I would be getting hungry (which helped me avoid the Panera Bagels that they had sitting out for us). I also noticed how much water I was drinking all day, which made me realize how much my body had been wanting and missing for the last few years.

It was a great day to reflect on the week, but also to look forward to the new week and workouts to come.

Here you can play "find the two BMI employees on the stage".

  1. It is great when the habits start developing quickly and you can see their benefits. Planning ahead always helps overcome temptations. Looks like you had a great morning for your service.

  2. I love this! Planning ahead, packing snacks, staying away from bagels, great job, Matt!
