Is there a doctor in the house?

Today was hard. Really hard. Both Rick & EJ told us they were intentional in pushing us so we would know how it feels for our lungs & legs to be burning, struggling to catch out breath & feel like our hearts would explode-so we'd realize that it actually wouldn't. As Niki & I were laying on the ground breathing heavily trying to catch our breath & complete our final bridges I ask her if Rick was a cardiologist? Had anyone actually seen their medical degrees because I wasn't so sure my heart wouldn't burst. I could hardly talk, but I laughed asking if there was a Dr in the house. But here's the thing-they were right, we all survived. My heart is back to beating a normal rhythm & is probably a little bit healthier than it was before. Today was hard & it took me awhile to get thru the last 15 squats. EJ told me to catch my breath, but DON'T GIVE UP. Everyone cheered when I finished that last one-I appreciate everyone's support & encouragement.

  1. No doubt it was hard!!! All those sleds!!
My heart was pumping and I was struggling to catch breath with the sleds too!
I like to try to hold onto that memory of how hard the workout was...and remember it when I am tempted with food or overeating... I remind myself, that was HARD!, I don't want to undo that hard work I did!
You did it! You pushed thru and came out on the other side! What a feeling!

  2. That was so funny... I was trying to catch my breath and laughing at the same time. Was so nice to have a little comedic relief in the middle of questions whether or not my heart really was going to explode or not. :) Good job!

  4. First thing to remember is that you are worth it. You are worth the effort and energy you are putting into yourself. The second thing is remember that EJ, Rick, and Tina understand you and care about you. They can see how much more we can do than we think we can and they want to help us see that vision as well. The third thing is remember to listen to your body. If you ever start feeling pains or deep concerns talk with EJ, Rick, and Tina and make sure you should keep going they want to listen to your body as well and keep you healthy through it all.
