Training, Method, and Practice/Process Do Matter

I just read Matt's blog and have a similar topic but from a slightly different perspective.

I couldn't run (and probably still can't) due to my mild asthma. I even couldn't complete a 30-minute workout without being looked like a dead in the past. I always put 0 hours for weekly work out time in the wellness questionnaire.

But it's been three weeks, I felt I'm doing okay with all the workout and assignments. I tried to walk/run in 9/1 the past Monday, I felt it's so good that I could do it. I also tried to walk/run in 8/2 pattern and I made it!!! One time I tried to push it a little bit further and found I could even run for 4 minutes without stopping!!! I felt so good -- of course afterwards that I could make it.

I felt that it's not just I need to keep pushing myself to run a little bit more, I felt that our training, method, and all the practice count a lot to make me being able to do this. Thanks to the program!

  2. That is so totally awesome!!
I had exercise induced asthma when I started, I had to use my inhaler each time I ran....Now rarely, when my allergies are bad and I run outside.
You strike me as a smart student of the program and I think your insight that everything in the program has helped you to get to this place is right! EJ and Rick are awesome like that!

  3. You are right about the program. They know what they are doing. They know where to have us start and build us up. They know how to hold things back until we are ready. I can't believe how far I have come since I started this journey last year and am so thankful that they have a program that works and helps me go the right way. Keep trusting them and you are going to see even greater surprises.
