Seriously...

Gaining weight is not the purpose of this program.  I’ve done nothing but beat myself up for it for the past 15 hours.  There’s nothing or no one to blame but myself.  I let myself down, my teammates down, and the program and everyone involved down.  I will have to say, I was still beating myself up this morning due to the overwhelming amount of embarrassment that I felt due to gaining weight.  Now the whole company is going to know my failures.

It wasn’t until I got to the work out today, though, that I received the much needed encouragement from Rick & Tina.  Not to mention what Izzy said at the end of the workout today. I appreciate them all so much for reminding me that this is new to me and my body is going to bounce back (not in flabby way I might add).  Just because I had one set back doesn’t make me a loser or a failure or a non-team member, it’s making me stronger and that’s what I intend to feed off of.

A friend gave me a devotional at the beginning of the program called Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst and her thought for the day:  It is possible to rise up, do battle with our issues, and using the Lord’s strength in us, defeat them – spiritually, physically, and mentally – to the glory of God.

I am going to make it!

  1. Yes, you are going to make it! It is hard to keep it in perspective, but so glad that Izzy was there to share his experience and prayer with us. Keep on - keeping on!

  3. Just think about all the progress you have made so far. Four weeks ago, would you have ever thought you could be doing what you are doing now? I am trying to think of every day and every workout as progress. I am sure there will be times that it will be harder to see what you have accomplished when you can't measure it in pounds. But every day, you are getting healthier and stronger. We can all celebrate that!

  4. So glad Rick and Tina and Izzy were able to encourage you!
So glad your mindset turned around sooner than later, the negativity is difficult to push thru!
So glad you are going to feed of this to push forward!

  5. Just remember the victory we have in Jesus. He doesn't hold our past against us. His mercies are new every morning. We might have fallen yesterday, we can't do anything about that now. We can claim the day though and make it a victory to celebrate in the tomorrow.
