I just watched the news clip of Rick, Frank & EJ. I am feeling so blessed to be part of this. Today is the last day of the 4th week-I really can't believe how fast it's going! I really can't give enough thanks to Rick, Tina, EJ, Rose & all the other alumni. I would never ever be doing this without them & everyone else who is supporting us. I love that Frank said at the end of the video that he's going to be making the most of the next 20 years. It's so exciting to think about what we will do. I pulled something in my knee last Tues getting in/out of Brad's truck so I rested Wed & was in the pool on Thurs. Although I enjoyed getting the opportunity to work out with Kim & Edna, I missed EJ's workout. (I will say that jogging with those weights is no joke!) I got to the gym just as they were starting a 1 minute wall sit to wrap up their session. I got up early today & walked a 5k. I've got a long way to go & I'm slow, but I'm doing it! Day by day I'm getting healthier. I have been so encouraged by past contestants & seeing how they've changed their lives! I have always hated exercise, but I'm actually looking forward to being back with the rest of the group Tues.
It is remarkable how far we come through the program. You picked up on an important detail though which is what are we going to do after the program. This program doesn't mean anything if we just go back to where we were before the program. it takes time to get better but we do. Your 5 miles we go faster and faster. Just keep working at it and make the small improvements which will lead to the big ones.

ReplyDeleteOne of the great things about smallest winner is having all the camaraderie. .. intestate going thru boot camp together, alumni who have been there, staff to guide you..all there to support you!
