So the nervousness I had been feeling as the start of BMSW2 approached has been replaced with the aches of knowing I'm really doing this! I knew when I applied that I should probably start preparing my body by moving a little more, but of course I didn't. We had our first group workout yesterday. I felt awkward in my movements and didn't really know what I was doing, but everyone was so encouraging. I appreciated that there were so many alumni that were there to support us. The trainers were great and even though there were more of us then them I felt like I had their individual attention. They helped when I needed help and kindly corrected me when I was in the wrong position. At one point when I seemed to completely forget which arm is my right and which is my left E.J. took time to help me remember. Until yesterday I'd never done a plank in my life. Rick helped show me the proper form and when I did it wrong again 2 minutes later he showed me again. I am so thankful and appreciative of everyone who is giving their time to help me change my life.
A coworker left this photo on my desk earlier this week and I thought it was too cute to not share. As I said at the beginning of this post, I am sore today, but I am encouraged by that too. I know that I am pushing myself. We were told in the beginning we would not be ask to do anything we couldn't do. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do. After just two days I can already tell I will be amazed.
I will end with this, we did the timed mile today and we walked before/after. I have a fit bit that I've not used for awhile. I got it out today & when I got back to the locker room I had to text my husband a screenshot of my dashboard to show the photographic proof I'd burned over 1000 calories before 7 AM! Amazing...
Love the pic! 1000 calories burned - awesome! My legs are still achy from yesterday. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! A 1000 calories! I'm sore too.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad a co-worker left that picture for you. Any encouragement you receive can help you overcome a bad day. It is amazing how we can get the individual attention we need to help us do things correctly. They definitely know what they are doing and how to help us out. Yes you are doing great and greater things are still to come.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great! And yes, you are going to be amazed at what all you are able to do and accomplish!
ReplyDeleteI love this picture!
ReplyDeleteIt is so great to have stats like how many steps, how many calories burned...every source of motivation is to be fully embraced! We need it all!
