The weekend has definitely been more difficult for me as I'm used to going out to eat or picking up fast food while we are out running around and that not being an option I really had to rely on planning ahead (not a strong point for me) but it wasn't too bad. I planned and ate before we left and brought a snack in case we were longer than I thought we were going to be. We were out most of the day back to school shopping so I had to be very mindful that I couldn't stop and get a soda or just grab a quick snack from somewhere. I did it though and I am proud of myself for getting past the first weekend. I know the habits I am building are going to help me through this program and beyond for the rest of my life.
Looking forward to seeing what happens at weigh-in tomorrow! (A little nervous too.)

Good job in planning. One of the keys is determining where you might have problems and then working a plan for it. You have taken a big positive step this weekend and I am so proud of and excited for you. Great job and keep it up.
ReplyDeleteI love your comment about being "mindful." Too many times, I didn't "think" about what I was eating or drinking and just went through a drive thru when I thought I was hungry. This week was eye opening for me, that I can be out and about and not stop to get something.
ReplyDeleteOne of my families favorite things to do on a Saturday is eat at the food court in the mall. All day I tossed around eating Sarku Japan's teriyaki chicken. Put it in my food journal and everything. I just couldn't do it once I got there & ended up getting one of the healthier Subway sandwiches with TONS of veggies. When you are spending the day with your family like that, it is hard sometimes to plan ahead. Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Planning ahead, eating your food first, packing a snack I'm case you need it...so smart!
ReplyDeleteI still do this and it gives me peace of mind. Good to KNOW what I am eating and if I can afford it, calorically, that is...
